Unfortunately, housing & sleeping arrangements during the running of the bulls can be the most difficult obsticle to overcome in order to fully enjoy all the aspects of the San Fermin Festival.

Many people not knowing where to stay & the transport difficulties, unwisely choose to stay in Bilbao or San Sebastian & dont realise that they need to be VERY early risers if they ever want to see or partake in the bull run....that is NOT advisable especially after a night of Kalimotxo, Sangria & Pacharan!!

The streets in the centre of Pamplona are already full of people by 6.30 A.M. plus you still have to find parking in pamplona....add it all up & you might very well have stayed up all night!

How does the Pamplona Apartment Rentals process work?

San Fermin Travel Central works with the owners of Pamplona apartments to make them available to you during the San Fermin Festival. Most people dont know that Pamplona hotels only caters for 3000 of the guests who swarm into Pamplona looking for hotel rooms. Due to this fact, pamplona apartment owners make deals available that work for both the owner & traveler to pamplona alike. Owners know that apartments along the bull run route i.e. Mercaderes & Estafeta stretts are more valuable locations...especially if it comes with a Balcony for watching the running of the bulls each morning!!

Prices for hotel rooms in pamplona range from €350 to €1500 per night in the city centre. Further outside of the city centre you may find better rates but youre still looking at a whopping €250 a night for a 3 star hotel room in Pamplona.

If you are "running" or " watching" the daily bullrun, then you should  consider staying within walking distance of the bull run route. Parking is a real problem in pamplona during the festival too!...Getting into town on time for the bull run is a real nightmare unless youre with a tour company who knows what they are doing!

My best advise for the running of the bulls is to consider the large ammount of time, money & energy you have spent just to get to pamplona, then think what it would be like to have missed the event because you didnt spend a little more to get there on-time.

If you definitely want a hotel room in Pamplona, then you should book before February. My favourite hotels in Pamplona are Gran Hotel La Perla & Hotel Tres Reyes.
